This privacy notice explains how and why sfmaps (‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’) collects, uses, and shares personal information. It is designed to meet the requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the “CCPA”).

What information we collect, use, and why

We collect or use the following information for service updates, security, analytics, search, and product maintenance:

Website and app usage information
Device, browser, referrer, and approximate location information
Cookie or similar analytics identifiers
Address search terms, selected map coordinates, and reverse-geocoding lookups you submit while using the Service

Sale or sharing of personal information

We do not sell personal information. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We configure Google Analytics to disable advertising personalization signals where supported.

Disclosure of personal information

Personal information is disclosed only to service providers that help us operate the Service, including Cloudflare for hosting, security, and logs; Google Analytics for aggregate usage measurement; and Geocodio for address search and reverse-geocoding when needed.

Over the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information:

Identifiers – e.g. Internet Protocol (IP) address or device ID, cookie ID, or analytics client ID.
Internet or other electronic network-activity information – e.g. browsing history and interactions with our site or app.
Geolocation and lookup information – e.g. selected map coordinates, address searches, and reverse-geocoding requests you submit.

California privacy rights

If you are a California resident you have the following rights under the CCPA:

Right to know / access – request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
Right to delete – ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to statutory exceptions.
Right to correct – ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
Right to opt-out of sale or sharing – for completeness; we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Right to limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information – we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Right to non-discrimination – we will not discriminate against you for exercising CCPA rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email admin@sfmaps.net with “CCPA Request” in the subject line. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days (or any extended period permitted by law).
